ABOUT
Care shouldn't depend on what you can afford this month.
The Colorado Patient Care Fund is a nonprofit that helps Coloradans stay in care when a medical bill threatens to get in the way.
OUR STORY
Founded by a Colorado doctor who kept seeing the same problem.
In 2022, Dr. Nathaniel Moore — a practicing Colorado physician — kept watching patients leave the clinic with prescriptions they couldn't fill, referrals they couldn't follow up on, and treatments that quietly stopped. Not because the care didn't exist, but because a single bill stood in the way.
He started the Colorado Patient Care Fund to close that gap directly: a small nonprofit that moves quickly, listens carefully, and pays for the specific thing keeping someone from their care.
WHAT GUIDES US
Three commitments.
Direct, not bureaucratic.
Funds go to the provider or the patient. No vouchers, no paperwork mazes.
01
Fast, because timing matters.
Care delayed is often care lost. We review on a rolling basis, not on a schedule.
02
Human, every step of the way.
A real person reads every application. We treat applicants the way we'd want our own family treated.

FOUNDER
Dr. Nathaniel Moore
Founder, Colorado physician
Dr. Moore practices medicine in Colorado and founded CPCF in 2022 after seeing too many patients fall out of care over costs that were small in the scheme of medicine, but enormous in the scheme of a single household budget.
